For this class, all students will be using the Genesis bow. This is the best bow for new archers!  It's easily adjustable, and we have adult and youth sizes available. Having all archers on the same style of bow makes the learning experience more seamless. Safety gear is also offered in class.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I need to miss a class?

No worries! We've built in a makeup session. Typically the makeup class is the week after week 6 during the same class time. Only one makeup session is offered.

What is the refund policy?

100% refund 14+ days before start of class. 50% refund within 14 days of class starting. No refunds after the first class. No refunds for missed classes. If you miss class, one makeup session will be offered. If you miss more than one class, no additional makeup dates are available. For the safety of everyone on the range, participants who are unable to follow range safety rules may be dismissed from the program without a refund.

No classes show up on the booking site, what do I do?

If no classes are showing up on the booking site, it means that all sections are full and the next set of classes is not yet available to book. Full classes that have not started yet will have a waitlist option. Join the waitlist to receive text and email notifications if a spot becomes available. Open spots are offered to the entire waitlist and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If the spot is no longer available when you attempt to book, it has already been filled. Joining the waitlist does not secure placement in future classes. We recommend getting on the mailing list to get general updates about range offerings.

Can I bring a bow?

Archers will use the Genesis bow for this session. If you have your own Genesis bow, you're welcome to bring it! If you have a full size compound bow or a recurve bow and no experience, we'll start you on the Genesis bow. If you have your own gear and some experience, contact us so we can match you to a suitable class. Archers who have already passed our 6 Week Class can use their own gear in class.

Can my child take this class?

This class is designed for participants ages 10 and up who are ready to follow directions in a structured group environment. Students must be able to stay focused for an hour of instruction, safely handle a bow, and follow all range safety rules. If a young archer is not yet ready to participate safely in a structured group environment, we recommend starting with private lessons to build skills and safety awareness before joining a group class. For the safety of everyone on the range, participants who are unable to follow range safety rules may be dismissed from class.

What's the level after this class?

At the end of these sessions, you'll be able to take the skills test to qualify for Intermediate class. Everyone progresses at different rates, and students who don't pass for Intermediate are welcome to take intro classes to continue to work on skill development. In general, we've found that adults with an athletic or archery background tend to pass the skills test on a faster timeline. It may take a while for youth archers to qualify, especially younger archers who are still working on upper body strength/proprioception.

I have zero archery experience, is this class ok for me?

Yes, you are in the right spot! The 6 week series starts with the basics and builds up from there. You don't need any archery or athletic background to participate. We've had archers from 10 to 84 years old in class and on target. This class is designed for participants ages 10 and up who are ready to follow directions in a structured group environment. Students must be able to safely handle a bow, stay focused for an hour of instruction, and follow all range safety rules. If an archer is not yet ready to participate safely in a structured group environment, we recommend starting with private lessons to build skills and safety awareness before joining a group class.

I have some archery experience, is this the right class?

If your archery experience was scouts, summer camp, or a recreational Try Archery session, this series is perfect for you! If you've been training with a Coach in a developmental program and have your own gear, let's chat! Contact us and we'll figure out a good match for you.
